Richard Quiñones (Journeymen Boxing) – Super flyweight prospect Dylan Price, who recently turned pro, announced that he has signed a promotional deal with Mayweather Promotions. The former amateur standout, turned pro back on February 4th, and had a successful debut when he scored a first-round stoppage over Malcolm Speight in North Carolina.
The highly touted 18-year-old, was born in Philly, but is currently living in Sickerville, NJ, boosted a brilliant 112-13 mark as an amateur and was the USA’s top-ranked boxer in his weight class over the past two years.
“I want to first thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with this great start of my professional career,” he said last week. “
I had a great time last week at the fights. We took an RV to North Carolina and had 25 of my family and friends front row. Then I get back, and we completed the team with a promotional contract from The Money Team. I am blessed, and I am just excited about my team and my future in the sport. I want to thank Doc Nowicki, my dad Dave Price, Dejuan Blake, Leonard Ellerbe and of course TBE “Money” Mayweather for completing my team,” added Price via facebook.
Price is slated to return to Philadelphia for his second bout, which looks to be scheduled for March 31st at the 2300 Arena.
