New Jersey Golden Gloves tourney in full action, 4 weeks in the books

Richard Quiñones (Journeymen Boxing) – The action is heating up at the New Jersey Golden Gloves tournament as the first four weeks were not only entertaining but compelling. Week four action wrapped up Saturday at the Brick Memorial High School, in Brick, New Jersey.

John Leonardo (Gleasons Gym) defeated Omar Coubati (True Warrior) to kick things off in the 123lb. novice division, while Yohenry Rosario (Jersey Boys Boxing) and Frankie Diaz (True Warrior) each scored wins during their respected bouts to round out the 123lb action.

In 141lb. action, Yanelisa Reyes (A-Team) scored a nice win over Nia Lewis (Victory BC) in 141lb. female semi-novice action.

Kareem Goodwin (B&D Fight Factory) got past Deven Williams (Middletown PAL) in 165lb. semi-novice action, while Everlon Still (North Camden CB) won his bout.

Samar Williams (Aspira Boxing) rounded out the day’s bouts with a win in his sub-novice 145lb. bout among 16-year-olds.
