Roberto Irizarry has been pulled off Saturday’s card in South Philadelphia because his original opponent fell through. The 22-year-old featherweight was scrambling at the last minute to get another opponent but nothing transpired.
“Yeah we tried to get him another opponent, but it was just to late so we will have to see what happens next time,” said Irizarry’s trainer Nick Rosario.
Irizarry (2-0-1) last fought in May when he earned a four-round unanimous decision against Benjamin Burgos.
Saturday’s card is being promoted by King’s Boxing.
