Dusty Hernandez-Harrison improved to 25-0 with a dominating 10-round unanimous decision over veteran Tommy Rainone at Theater at MSG in New York Friday night.
Harrison, 20, one of the first fighters inked with Roc Nation Sports, really didn’t break a sweat in this one, winning 100-90 on two scorecards and 99-91 on the third. Journeymen Boxing scored it 100-90 for Hernandez-Harrison.
Rainone had energy in the first round in what could be best described as a tactical fight by Hernandez-Harrison, who was a bit more aggressive the whole night. He mixed in his jab brilliantly and used body shots mid-way through the fight, stunning Rainone a couple of times.
The fourth round saw more of the same, but there was also some feisty moments by each fighter, as referee Harvey Dock intervened several times. The pace then slowed down as Harrison simply toyed with the 35-year-old club fighter.
In the seventh round, Hernandez-Harrison was able to cut down angles and move Rainone up against the ropes, catching him with a strong right hand. He then landed several more body shots to close out the round and never looked back from there.
The native of Washington D.C. connected on on 152 of 452 shots (34 percent) and Rainone (22-6-1, 4kos’) landed just 46 of 229 (20 percent).
