Richard Quiñones (Journeymen Boxing) – Anthony Burgin and Avery Sparrow will highlight a solid card, when both upstart boxers collide in an eight-round main event Friday night at the 2300 Arena in South Philly.

The doors open at 6:00 PM, with the first bout set to go off at at 7:30 PM..

The 24-year-old Burgin (10-2, 2 KO’s) has dropped two of four — with both loses coming when he stepped up in class. His first career loss was when he absorbed a TKO setback at the hands of Amos Cowart back in 2015. He rebounded and defeated Justin Johnson, but followed that up with another loss when he stepped up to face a then undefeated Divante Jones.

The stacked card is promoted by Peltz Boxing, BAM Boxing, Joe Hand Promotions, as well as Raging Babe. It is being dubbed “Proving Grounds” and there is a sense the action will be electric from the get go.

As for Sparrow (5-1, 3 KO’s), his only blemish of his young career, when he sustained a DQ against Jerome “Lefty” Rodriguez in 2015.

Fred Jenkins Jr is also slated to appear on the card, while Isaiah Wise, Joseph Adorno, Victor Padilla, Marcel Rivers will be in action.

Adorno (2-0, 2 KO’s) will take on Marco Ocano Sanchez(1-0) in a rare battle of 17-year-old boxers. Both have solid amateur backgrounds, as Adorno was a Junior National Champ, while Sanchez posted a strong 36-4 mark in Mexico as an amateur.
