Breaking: Results from Day 1 Finals of the NJ Golden Gloves; DeJesus caps off great tourney run

Richard Quiñones (Journeymen Boxing) The first night of the New Jersey Golden Gloves finals did not disappoint as the action was non-stop at I.B.E.W 164 in Paramus, New Jersey on Friday night. Ike & Randy’s Jaime DeJesus capped off his incredible run through the tournament by defeating a very tough Anatoliy Alkhazov from Bergen County PAL to claim the 152lb novice title.   1. I told everyone at the start of the tourney to watch out for Dejesus, kid has serious power, and will throw with confidence, he is still raw and green but I am very happy he won and look for good things from him going forward in the ammy ranks.
