Richard Quiñones (Journeymen Boxing) In what appears to be a very intriguing match-up, Noemi “La Rebelde” Bosques is set to take on undefeated Heather “The Heat” Hardy Friday May 29th, at the Barclay’s Center in New York. The card is promoted by DiBella entertainment and the scheduled eight-round affair will be on the Amir Khan/Chris Algieri card.
The 32-year-old Bosques (8-2-2) is coming off a six-round split-decision loss to Nydia Feliciano back early March. The fight at times was ugly, and the setback snapped Bosques’ four-fight winning streak.
Hardy is coming off a short fight against Renata Domsodi after an accidental head but in the second round caused an eye injury to Domsodi prompting the bout to be ruled a no contest. The fight was for the WBC International female super bantamweight title.
The 33-year-old Hardy (12-0) and Brooklyn, New York native, is the No. 2 ranked super bantamweight in the U.S. and eighth in the world, while Bosques is ranked No. 3 as a bantamweight.
